About Hung Tong

With the design of the restaurant capturing the history of the once reclaimed land back in 1850, Hung Tong is reminiscent of the once lively shipping trade and dockyards of Hong Kong, which was one of the key industries in Hong Kong back then. Diners are taken on an emotive journey throughout the different elements of the restaurant, introducing a glimpse into a post-industrial ambiance. From being greeted by a monolithic reception area, guests will then be transported through to a dining room of raw textures and contrasting features: exposed red brick walls, vintage-inspired leather chairs and tinted glass pendants. In keeping with the Hong Kong spirit, Andre Fu has also introduced a backdrop of 1960’s metallic gates, window vents, wooden shelves, chequered carpets and booth seating.
