See what’s new in the MICHELIN Deutschland 2019 guide
The novelties for this year, from the MICHELIN Guide Deutschland 2019, place 5 new restaurants that obtain their second star and 37 new restaurants with their first star. Although, this year, there was no new any new three-star as in the previous edition.

One of the great surprises has been the restaurant Purs by chef Christian Eckhardt, in Andernach, which just opened a year ago and has already awarded a couple of stars.
Let’s remember that this selection of the red guide confirms the growing progress of German gastronomy, the International Director of the MICHELIN guides, Gwendal Poullennec says “The success is due to the already established chefs with a wide professional trajectory, as well as to a new generation of talented young chefs and innovative ideas”.
In total, the MICHELIN guide recommends a total of 1,864 restaurants, out of which 309 restaurants have stars in Germany, leading a historical record. In addition to 424 Bib Gourmand restaurants.
